Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world by the number of native speakers, following Mandarin Chinese, and the fourth most spoken language overall, after English, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi. It boasts approximately 471 million native speakers and an additional 493 million people who speak it as either a first or second language with native-level proficiency. According to official academic sources, it is projected that by 2030, Spanish will become the second most spoken language globally, surpassing all others except for Mandarin Chinese, and by 2045, it is expected to claim the top spot.

The University of Valencia grants the certificate, which encompasses 650 hours of training covering levels A1, A2, and B1, all conducted at the university.
